If you'd like to delete your background report information from Instant Checkmate, you have two options:

Submit An Expedited Opt Out Request Online

To significantly speed up processing, you can simply visit Instant Checkmate's Opt Out page, and fill out a brief form to have your information removed as soon as possible.

Helpful Tips:

• Enter your information exactly as it appears on the website in order for us to locate your listing and ensure accurate removal.
• If you have multiple listings on Instant Checkmate (more than one result for your name), you will need to complete a separate opt out form for each entry that you want removed.
• Please provide a current email address. If we have questions about your request, we will contact you at the email address you provide us.

Instant Checkmate Opt Out Process

Removing your background report from Instant Checkmate's database is easy. You are free to opt yourself out at anytime, which will remove your background report from the site.

Please remember that this information about you will still be visible in public records, and on other people search engines.Please also note that Instant Checkmate does not remove sex offender location data. Also, your name may still appear as a possible related person in other individuals’ reports, and your email and phone reports may remain in our public database. Removing yourself from Instant Checkmate's directory does not make your information private on other websites.

When Will My Background Report Be Removed From Instant Checkmate?

Once we receive your request, your background report will be removed within 48 hours. Please understand that while we will do everything we can to make sure that your background report is successfully removed from the site, changes to your name or address can sometimes make it difficult to find and remove all of your results.

All data in Instant Checkmate background reports is taken from public records. These public records might include your birth certificate, traffic tickets, or other information collected by federal, state, and local governments. We compile all of this data into easy-to-read reports for Instant Checkmate members. When you opt out, your report is removed from the Instant Checkmate database. However, records that contain your information may still be publicly available from other sources.

How Do You Remove Inaccurate Information From A Report?

We continuously strive to offer the most accurate online background reports available. Despite those efforts, inaccurate information might accidently appear on individual reports. To ensure the integrity of our reports, we’ve made it easy for members to flag inaccurate information.

When Will The People Directory Listing Be Removed?

If you opt out of Instant Checkmate, your name still might appear in our people directory in Google search results, even after we have removed your report from our database. Please allow up to five days for this listing to be removed.
